Lost, seeking paths through the heart of the woods,
far from the comfort of walls,
one rediscovers one’s worldly goods.
Gone are the markets and various broods,
shoppers swarming in the malls,
lost, seeking paths through the heart of the woulds.
Tree branches cross, forming hundreds of roods
adorning forest formed halls.
One rediscovers one’s worldly goods.
Hunger and fear order movements and moods,
hunting and gathering calls,
lost seeking paths through the heart of the woods.
Earth-tasting roots and grubs become the foods
eaten till appetite falls.
One rediscovers one’s worldly goods.
Lessons and visions bring back childhood’s
wonder; the soul now recalls.
Lost seeking paths through the heart of the woods,
one rediscovers one’s worldly goods.
