Death and life
Lightning
with thunder
reverberates.
Survival
depends on
where you are.
Fascinating,
primal force
at play.
Charred husks
now lay where
once were creatures.
Burning stink,
wafts of smoke,
heaps of ash.
To think that life
once rose from
fury.
Building
collapses on
scores of people.
Scurrying
humans, dogs,
search for life.
Heartbroken souls
plea for life
in death.
