In Memoriam
time flies
“Time flies; life is fleeting.”
Wings
lift me
higher and
higher, show me
wonders and horrors
below my vision flight.
Waterfall prisms split light.
AK-47 spits lead
through children spurting crimson torrents
splattering on small desks, over floor and walls.

In memory of the 19 children and 2 teachers murdered at Robb School in Texas.
I deeply wish such poems were not necessary. I hope it is the ugliest thing I will ever write.
